  • Hog Island San Francisco is temporarily closed.
    • Since reopening our doors back in April, we’ve transformed the way we run our restaurant in order to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff during these unprecedented times. Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve temporarily closed our Oyster Bar in San Francisco after a positive test was confirmed at our restaurant earlier this week and we’ve taken yesterday and today to deep clean and ensure it’s safe to reopen. We’ve been following the strictest guidelines put in place by the State of California and feel confident that these proactive measures will keep this incident isolated. Thank you to all who came out to support us this past week and weekend. Picking up to-go food from our restaurants, buying oysters from our farm, and ordering through our online store. Your business always means so much to us, but especially now, it means that we’ll be able to continue serving you delicious shellfish in the future. So a HUGE thank you for your continued support!

We’re going to close up shop for a few days, just to catch our breath and reset. Like all of you, we are taking everything as it comes, day-by-day. We’ll be back open for business on Friday 3/27. Please read below for this week’s hours and offerings.

  • Our online store is still up and running! Order oysters, BBQ kits, chowder kits, and grilled cheese online and have them shipped directly to your door. Offering delivery nationwide via FedEx and local deliveries to Marin & Sonoma counties from our Hog Island team. Shop HERE.
  • Hog Island San Francisco and Hog Island Larkspur in the Marin Country Mart (yup, you read that right! Our newest oyster bar!) will be open Friday – Sunday for delivery and pick-up orders!
  • Hog Island Napa and Tony’s Seafood will be closed Monday (3/23) – Thursday. We’ll be back open Friday – Sunday for to-go orders.
  • Hog Island Oyster Farm will be open for to-go oysters today (3/23) and closed until Friday. The farm will be open for all your to-go oyster needs for the weekend, Friday – Sunday.

UPDATE March 20, 2020

Dear Hog Island Friends & Family-

With the recent updates just issued by the state of California, we have had to make some necessary changes to our operations. We’re bummed because we’ll miss seeing all of you regularly! But we are doing our part to slow the spread of germs, and temporarily closing some locations and reducing hours at others are the best ways for us to do that right now. However, we want you to know you can still get our oysters and other tasty Hog Island dishes. We are thinking of you all and doing our best to continue to offer a delicious shellfish experience the best way we can during this unprecedented time. Here are the ways you can continue to enjoy the Hog Island experience:

SHOP ONLINE: Our online store is up and running. Order oysters, clams, BBQ kits, clam chowder kits, grilled cheese and more, all from the comfort of your own home.

  • Available to ship nationwide via FedEx 2-day and overnight. Shipping Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
  • Local delivery to Marin & Sonoma Counties only, directly from Hog Island Driver. Order by 5 pm PST and your order will be hand-delivered the following day, 7-days a week.

RESTAURANTS OPEN FOR TO-GO FOOD: While our restaurant in SF is currently closed. You can still order your favorite Hog Island dishes to-go from the rest of our locations.

  • Hog Island Napa The full menu is available to-go. Grilled Cheese and Hog Island Chowder in the comfort of your home?! We’re here for you! Call ahead to order or show up and place your order. PH: 707.251.8113. Currently open from 11:30 – 4pm. Saturday 3/21 we’ll be open early serving breakfast sandwiches!
  • Tony’s Seafood in Marshall is open for to-go food and curbside pick up. Call ahead to pre-order at 415.663.1107 or show up and we’ll take your order from your car. Shellfish, menu favorites, meal kits and family meals available to order.
  • Hog Island Oyster Farm in Marshall the retail window will remain open for to-go sales of shellfish, but the cafe and picnic tables are closed. Existing reservations at The Boat Oyster Bar and Shuck-Your-Own Picnic tables through March will be canceled. If you currently have a reservation at our farm, our reservation manager will get in touch with you.

FARMERS’ MARKETS: as of 3/20, farmers’ markets are still allowed to operate. Hog Island will be selling at the following markets this Saturday 3/21.

GROCERY STORES: Hog Island Oysters are currently available at Petaluma Market and Good Earth Naturals in Fairfax.

Oysters are an incredibly high source of zinc, the immune-boosting mineral that we all could use a little more of right now. We hope to make them available in all the ways we can.
