January 29, 2019, Hog Island Oyster Co. Open For Business. Sweets Are Back on the Menu January 31st!

January 29th, 2019 - Hog Island Oyster Co. has resumed oyster harvesting in Tomales Bay today. Thank you all for your patience with our process. Although CDPH lifted the illness closure in Tomales Bay on January 17, Hog Island Oyster Co. has voluntarily chosen to hold-off from harvesting until running an additional set of test samples with the CDPH. These additional samples have come back with no sign of the NoroVirus detected. This testing went above and beyond what was required by CDPH.

 

We chose to take this extra measure to ensure our confidence in our product and to ensure the health and safety of our customers. We are incredibly confident and pleased to be harvesting again.
